John Fuller has been conductor of Deane Sinfonia almost since its foundation in 1981.
He has more than 45 years experience as an orchestral conductor, and was for 20 years the Director of the Basingstoke Area Youth Orchestras and Choirs, conducting many concerts in the Anvil in Basingstoke, in addition to many other venues both locally and further afield.
Over the years he has conducted many choral works, symphonies and concertos in addition to lighter music, and has worked with many top class soloists.
The Leader Zeb Strudwick, started the violin at the age of 14 and quickly progressed as an ensemble musician and composer.
Zeb helped his teacher for 2 years running amateur ensemble Newquay Strings, then joined the Cornwall Youth Orchestra where he attained Grade 8 with distinction. At that time he also played in several other ensembles, including The Cornish Sinfonia in 'Symphony by the sea'.
Originally from Hampshire, he moved back from Cornwall while studying music at Royal Holloway University. He learnt a great deal from professional violinist Francesca Barritt, and frequent collaborations between the chamber orchestra and the London Mozart Players.
Since graduating he has settled in Basingstoke, and plays with Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra and The Deane Sinfonia. He also plays further afield, with engagements in Cornwall, and in London with the Watford Youth Sinfonia, and Sinfonia Perdita - a new professional orchestra for young upcoming musicians.
